Thank you for visiting my website. I am a husband, father, and grille sergeant living in suburban Chicago. When I am not stomping through the woods with my son’s Boy Scout Troop, camping with my family, or trying to lose all the weight I’ve gained since high school; I work for the county treasurer where I manage the county’s investment portfolio and institutional banking relationships.
I also suffer from being bitten by the Radio Bug when I was a boy. Sometime around 1974, my dad put me on the microphone of his ham radio station in order to speak with the daughter of a New York ham Dad was working.
Since then, I have been fascinated with radio communication. I earned both my commercial and amateur licenses as a teenager and then worked in broadcast radio and television for 20 years.
This site is a journal of sorts.
I plan to write as often as possible about interesting things in my life.
Feel free to share anything you like, or leave a comment saying Hi.
Have a great day. 73,
